Help bring fallen model Kabogoza’s remains back home

Disaster struck on April 29th when Davies Kabogoza died while stand-up paddle boarding in the Santa Barbara Harbor, Westmont. According to online sources, Davies, 30, was paddle boarding with a female friend near the pier when he fell in the water and never resurfaced. He was a graduate from Westmont College (2016) with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

In 2012, Davies moved to USA with the help of Westmont alumna Vicky Harbison after a stint at Sports Outreach Institute. His path of life going to the U.S. was unique and inspiring to every life he touched. He shared his story at different forums.

While in Westmont, he played soccer for the college’s soccer team and later became a coach for a local team – Laguna Blanca.

He also did some modeling gigs that saw him work with big names like Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M and Emporio Armani. His friends remember him as a very fashionable guy.

A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help his remains back to Uganda for burial.  If there is any money left over, it will go to caring for Davies’ mother who has an ongoing illness and humanitarian needs. Please follow the link below to donate.
