Ugandan model Aamito Lagum for Vogue Germany April 2016

Aamito has become a beacon of inspiration since she was crowned the winner of Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba inspired TV reality show, Africa’s Next Top Model, Cycle 1.  That was in January 2014. The model originally from Kitgum, hundreds of kilometres north of the capital Kampala, has not looked back. Uganda’s fashion and modeling fraternity will always celebrate the girl that rose from the bushes hiding away from Kony rebels to rocking the world’s major runways and showcasing world-renowned brands. Marc Jacobs, Kenzo, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Giles, J. Mendel, Paul Smith, Lacoste, Hermés and Burberry among others cannot get enough of her. Neither can the editorial works the latest being the Vogue Germany April 2016 edition. http://www.whynotmodels.com has released these photos by star photographer Thomas Lohr.
